After looking at TDI's demonstration of the speed of drawing a folder to that of a small fixed blade, I was curious to see if my training would allow me to draw
and cut using the Gurkha's Kukri at approximately the same speed.
I always clear my sidearm before doing a video but hadn't planned on drawing it, but I made an
on-the-spot decision to engage for extra practice although the rest of
the Kukri kata I know would have finished the attack with some finality.
From beep to
first cut, 1.66 sec. From first cut to second, 0.689 sec.
Time to decide to use P229, draw and fire, 3.129 sec. Followup shot was 0.1125, back up and head shot, 1.97 sec.

Well, the audio got switched off and it's not where I wanted it to be,
but I thought that videoing a first one after your
suggestion would be a good way to compare later ones when I smooth it
